Hana, located in east Maui, is one of the last places in Hawaii untouched by urbanization and over-development. Evocative of yesterday’s Hawaii, Hana is famous for its scenic location and idyllic isolation, combined with a rural atmosphere and small town friendliness. The town of Hana has approximately 1200 residents, primarily employed by the Hotel Hana-Maui, the County of Maui, and private agricultural enterprises. Hana may be accessed by a fifteen minute flight from the main Maui airport in Kahului to the Hana Airport, or by a two hour drive from Kahului along the scenic Hana Highway.
